Me – Anita Davies
Hi, I’m Anita Davies, and I was a crew member in the Clipper 13-14 Round the World Yacht Race.
The “Sails Again” part does not mean that I have participated in this adventure before, merely that this was my return to sailing after an extended break, caused by my stroke in 2005.
I raised funds for the Foundation for Conductive Education. This fantastic charity provided me with invaluable support and movement rehabilitation both shortly after my stroke, and more recently to help me become a crew member.
This blog follows the story of my Clipper adventure, from the day I first really saw the advert, to the day it finished and beyond.
The pages accessed from the menu give my story up until that day, giving more information about me, my stroke and the following rehabilitation, and previous sailing history.
