He approached their sponsors, whose funds normally pay for items such as fees of guest speakers, to ask if the Club could instead donate this year’s contribution to my funds.
Three of them agreed and they are:
- Keystone Castor Company – wholesalers of castors and wheels, Birmingham.
- BVP Management Company Limited – operators of Blythe Valley Park, Solihull.
- Roger Skan – long-term member and benefactor of West Midland Bird Club.
So, as a result I am proud to add this post to say I am sponsored by the West Midland Bird Club.
They serve birdwatchers and ornithologists in Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and the Metropolitan West Midlands, and have branches in Birmingham, Kidderminster, Solihull, Stafford and Tamworth, members of which organise Indoor Meetings and Field Trips. They also manage some local bird reserves and provide regular News bulletins and support to the members.
